     Nonresident - neither works nor lives in the state of West Virginia

     Student Affiliate - Full-time college juniors, seniors or graduate students with an accounting major.  Students, click here for membership application.

     Professional Affiliate Members - Non-CPA members who are engaged in occupations or professions, which the board of directors determines have sufficient common interests and mutual dependence to make their membership advantageous to other members of the Society.

Special Status Members - Special status members may have their dues reduced by action of the Board of Directors, for good cause.  The Board has adopted a policy that good cause for the specail status classification will include, but not limited to, withdrawal from the profession (not one paying client) or other employment for purpose of maternity of child-rearing and that on written request to the Board of Directors such member shall be subject to dues under the retired classification.

A member who has attained advanced years or for other good cause, may have their dues waived by the action of the Board of Directors.
H
     No dues shall be payable by a member while engaged in active military services in the Armed Forces of the United States.
I
     Life Members - members elected to Life Membership by the WVSCPA shall pay no dues.
R
     Retired Member - Retired members who at the beginning of the fiscal year shall have retired from full time practice or other employment (not one paying client) and have notified the Society of such facts.
