Many of these funds are given as grants to West Virginia colleges and universities.

The Accounting Education Foundation (AEF) is an independent corporation that is composed of WVSCPA members. It has its own Board of Directors who acts on the behalf of the AEF. The AEF is funded primarily by contributions through the WVSCPA dues collection process. Funds earned from the corpus of the AEF are given for educational support.
