This person will join a department of full-time faculty members dedicated to excellence in teaching and student advising, and a commitment to upholding IACBE accreditation standards. Majors include Accounting, Economics, Finance, Hospitality Management, Management, Marketing, and Outdoor Recreation Management. We also offer minors in Accounting, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, and Railway Heritage Tourism.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
We seek applicants with a strong interest in teaching and advising, who will be able to teach a 4/4 course load in a variety of accounting and business courses. Courses might include Accounting Information Systems, Cost Accounting, Principles of Accounting II, Intermediate Accounting II and II, Income Tax II, and the VITA program of the IRS. Additional business courses will be taught as needed. Advising and mentoring students, continuing professional development and service responsibilities to Davis & Elkins College through committee membership and outreach to the local community are all required.

Minimum Qualifications
This position requires applicants to have a current CPA license and at least 5 years of professional experience in the Accounting field.

Preferred Qualifications
A Master's Degree in Accounting or a closely related field and teaching experience and ability at the College level is preferred.
