The ACT Tax Manager is the liaison between the Partner, the client, the staff, and the special service groups; they are generally responsible for all phases of an engagement.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
*Direct engagements
*Review and prepare workpapers
*Assist with research and planning according to the current laws and/or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
*Evaluate the tax impact of current and proposed activities and transactions
*Assist clients with strategies to minimize tax liabilities in accordance with current tax laws
*Train and manage Associates, Senior Associates and Supervisors
*Interact with clients
*Assist in billing process
*Prioritize multiple engagements at one time
*Participate in practice development/marketing activities

Minimum Educational and Professional Requirements:
*A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with major concentration in accounting, finance or other related field
*Successful completion of the uniform CPA examination is required
*Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills
*Highly motivated team player with a strong work ethic
*Willing to stay up to date through continuing education
*Proficient with accounting technology systems and software (i.e. Practice Management, ProSystems, Caseware, Adobe, Microsoft Excel, etc.)
*Ability to train and manage other
*Ability to interact well with clients
*Ability to work on more than one engagement at a time
*Should be involved in community/business associations
