Senior Accountant - Accounting and Finance at WV Housing Development Fund

Essential Functions:
• Prepares HOME Program drawdowns, reconciliations, reports and reconciliations;
• Sets up, commits and closes out all HOME activities;
• Prepares Section 8 and PBCA monthly reconciliations, monthly disbursements, and related entries;
• Prepares monthly trustee reconciliations;
• Reviews and initiates draws for Multifamily construction loans;
• Prepares Production reports, Multifamily Risk Analysis, and Program Status report;
• Serves as primary backup for daily functions, such as deposit, write up and accounts payable;
• Prepares accounting schedules, financial statements, and reports as required.

Work Environment/Physical Demands: The employee in this position may be required to sit at a desk for long periods of time. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.

Required Education/Experience: Associate degree with a minimum of three years’ accounting experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and accounting software.

Preferred Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree with accounting emphasis and accounting experience in Federal Programs
