ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Know and understand the firm's policies and procedures.
Begin acquiring the skills necessary to develop quality client relationships and loyalty.
Begin developing a command of pertinent IRC sections and regulations.
Become proficient at tax, accounting, and auditing research including a knowledge of the reference sources available to the firm.
Possess a working knowledge of firm technology, including PC literacy; the use of Microsoft Office; and firm engagement management, tax preparation, and time and billing software.
Possess technical knowledge sufficient to supervise and evaluate the performance of staff accountants.
Assume responsibility for the supervision of tax return preparation engagements.
Perform other duties as assigned from time to time by the engagement supervisors or partners.
WORKING CONDITIONS

In the firm's office or on the client's premises. Off-site may require the use of applicant’s personal car.
Moderate to low overtime required throughout the year. High level of overtime may be required to complete tax engagements.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Minimum of three years' experience (prefer 5+) as a staff accountant or equivalent as deemed appropriate by the partners.
REQUIRED EDUCATION

Must have at least a 4 year college degree with a concentration in accounting.
Prefer CPA certification or working towards
