Nature of Work
This mid-level Accounting position is in the sub-recipient monitoring and compliance unit, which reviews all sub-grants as required by DHHR policy, completes all site visits and desk reviews as required by the federal funding sources for sub-recipients, represents the Bureau in all federal site visits and audits for federal grants, and works with DHHR Central Finance in providing information for the state annual audit. This position is expected to review all sub-recipient grants that are awarded by BPH. This unit's focus is to ensure sub-grantee compliance with federal, state and DHHR guidelines for grantees to continue to receive funding.
Minimum Qualifications
Training: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with at least 24 semester hours in accounting.
AND
Experience: Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in professional accounting, statutory accounting or auditing work.
OR
Substitutions: (1) Master's degree in accounting may substitute for the required experience. (2) Certification or registration as a Public Accountant in West Virginia may be substituted for the training and required experience.
