Sole Practitioner & Small Firm Roundtable in Wheeling, WV

Northern Panhandle Chapter of the WV Society of CPAs to Host ‘Sole Practitioner and Small Firm’ Roundtable for Principals, Owners on Nov. 10, 2017.

Local Accounting Majors Invited to ‘Student Night’ Networking Event on Nov. 9 

Wheeling, W.Va. –  The members of the Northern Panhandle Chapter of the WV Society of CPAs (WVSCPA) have established a “can’t miss” program agenda for their upcoming Sole Practitioner and Small Firm Roundtable event on November 10. Featured speakers include WV State Tax Commissioner Dale Steager and WV Senate Majority Leader/State Finance Committee Member Ryan Ferns.    

“We’re very pleased to host a great line-up of speakers for this year’s roundtable who will address important tax code and legislative updates including those pertaining to the Professional Sales Tax,” said Jack Felton, partner at FeltonCPA and member of the Northern Panhandle Chapter of the WVSCPA. “There’s so much we can learn from one another as well, so the roundtable is structured to foster small group discussions among our CPA principals/owners and to share best practices related to firm management.” 

The roundtable will be held on Friday, Nov. 10 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Wheeling Country Club, 906 Oglebay Drive.  This is a free educational event for all firm members of the WVSCPA and is approved for 7 hours of CPE credit.  

As a special extension of the Roundtable, the Northern Panhandle Chapter of the WVSCPA will also host a Student Night mentoring program on Thursday, Nov. 9 at Wheeling Country Club from 5:30 pm to 8 pm. Local college accounting majors seeking to meet and network with CPA owners are encouraged to attend.
