Numbers & Narratives: Wisdom that Shaped Accounting Leaders – Virginia Slack

The Young CPA Committee of the society will be offering a quarterly leadership series called
"Numbers & Narratives": Wisdom that Shaped Accounting Leaders.

This new series for 2026 will continue on August 18, 2026 at 1:00pm offering 1 hour of CPE. 

The goal of this leadership series is to showcase successful accounting professionals, have them tell you about their career and how they got there, and provide any advice to young professionals as they are starting their career.

Our next professional will be sole practitioner, Virginia C. Slack.

Virginia Slack, CPA is the current President of the WV Board of Accountancy and owns her own CPA firm.  Virginia started her career at the public accounting firm Arnett & Foster.  In 1984, Virginia formed her own-sole practitioner accounting firm and has been serving clients ever since. Virginia is a long-term WVSCPA member and was awarded a lifetime membership to the WVSCPA in 2023. She served as president of the Society from 2016-2017.
