Senior Cost Accountant in Summersville, WV Metalcraft MER, Inc. is accepting resumes for a Senior Cost Accountant.  This is a full -time position that offers the opportunity to play an integral role in a growing company near several wonderful outdoor recreational areas including the Monongahela National Forest, Summersville Lake, and the new Summersville Lake State Park.  Starting salary ranges from $65k to $80k, depending on education and experience. Metalcraft MER, Inc. is a remanufacturing and custom fabrication business. The position’s responsibilities include but are not limited to: Ensuring financial transactions are recorded and classified properly Producing financial statements Preparing, analyzing and interpreting financial information to aid decision-making Ensuring internal controls are adhered to Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements Qualified applicants will have: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 5 years of experience in the private sector.  CPA certificate a plus. A thorough understanding of and ability to execute all accounting functions integral to: Recording and classifying financial transactions properly Capturing and summarizing data to produce financial statements Preparing, analyzing and interpreting financial information to aid decision-making Setting up and maintaining internal controls Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements Must have a working knowledge of cost accounting and the ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities.
